CSI4 Poznan, 8th Memorial of Maciej Frankiewicz, will be held from 15th to 18th June 2017.
High rank and financial bonuses (860 000 PLN) will attract many of the world’s top competitors and all the best Polish riders. Audience in Poznan will be able to admire the Olympic medalists, winners of the World Cup, Europe and Poland. At the CSI4 spectators everyday will see show jumping stars that compete with each other in Longines class. Sunday’s Grand Prix with prize of 100 000 EUR will be the culmination of sports event. This is a very prestigious competition, because the winner will receive not only a high financial bonus, but also 100 Longines Rankings points. The highlight of Saturday afternoon will be the Family Cup (speed relay), in which the riders will compete in family duos: siblings, a parent and a child, or a couple.
Equestrian events are perfect for the whole family, so in addition to classes at the highest world level, the organizer took care of the special program. Number one star of this year’s show will be the German group Degenerhof showing the incredible harmony of the work between humans, horses, dogs and other animals. The group’s recommendations include performances at CSIO Aachen, German Masters in Stuttgart, CSI4* in Zurich, the International Horse Show in Stockholm and the Equitana Equestrian Fair in Essen. The Sunday Memorial of Maciej Frankiewicz will be graced by the Voluntary Representative Division of the City of Poznan. The joyful character of the event will also be highlighted by the performance of the extremely colorful brass orchestra City of Swarzedz.
The competition takes place in a large lawn arena of Hipodrom Wola. This destination is known for hosting the acclaimed CSIO in 1996-2008. The hippodrome, with an antique tribune, is one of the most picturesque arenas and one of the few placed in a large city. Poznan has a convenient connection to virtually all European countries. The city has organized many prestigious sport events, including being a host of Euro 2012.
